ABOUT TARA MC DONALD

Tara McDonald is the vocal talent behind some of the biggest club anthems in the world. Co writing with the cream of the global house fraternity, her songs have been massive club and chart smash hits. Tara co wrote two songs with the number 1 house DJ/producer David Guetta, for the platinum selling album “Pop life” including the hit single “delirious” and “your not alone”. The Todd Terry Allstars project which is released through the Strictly Rhythm label in 2006 was such an exciting project as it brought together some of the biggest names in dance music for the debut single “Get Down” featuring Kenny Dope, Terri Hunter, DJ Sneak and of course Tara McDonald too. The single went straight into the dance charts at number 1 and the follow up record “Play on” is set for release this February 2009. The huge anthem "My My My Funktuary” from Armand Van Helden and “Feel The Vibe (til the morning comes)” from Swedish maestro Axwell. These tracks took the charts by storm, both debuting at 1 in the club charts, before they peaked in the UK sales charts at 12 and 16 respectively. Currently Tara is focussing on her studio work for her solo project and is also busy touring the world too! “Its really cool working from my own little studio at home in the country side and making my own productions, working out what sounds I like and making music organically”. Musical inspirations for Tara are Grace Jones, Madonna, Freddie Mercury, Eurythmics ,Prince, Madonna…people that are strong individuals, performers and have a sense of theatre. Having studied music and trained as a dancer, Tara has subsequently worked and performed with a wide range of musical talent across a broad spectrum of genres.
